Type a function and see it. Type another and see both together. Useful when you want to check what a curve actually looks like before you reason about it, or to put two of them side by side and compare.
Type into the box and press Plot, or just press Enter. Add as many curves as you like — each gets its own colour, and you can remove them one at a time from the list. Pinch or scroll to zoom, drag to pan, and press Fit to return to the starting view. Syntax help lists what you can type.
The curves, on axes with numbered ticks. Zooming actually recalculates the curve rather than just enlarging the picture, so it stays sharp however far in you go.
The axes start at −10 to 10 across and −6 to 6 up. No polar plotting. Everything is dimensionless — these are pure numbers, not physical quantities.
You should be able to check the shape of a function you are working with, instead of guessing at it.
